Charice on Top 5 of Billboards Hottest Minors

Charice successfully landed on the fourth spot in Billboard's List of 21 under 21: Music's Hottest Minors, right behind country pop singer-songwriter Taylor Swift, Canadian teenage heartthrob Justin Bieber, and actress-singer Selena Gomez.

Charice's inclusion in the list was attributed to her association with American television talk show host Oprah Winfrey, who strongly supported the young singer's international aspirations by constantly inviting her to perform on Oprah.

Being part of the 2010 Golden Globe Awards winner Glee, however, sealed Charice's status as one of the hottest young stars with the "potential to rule the pop culture zeitgeist over the next 12 months."

"Credit the Oprah Winfrey for plucking the Filipina sensation from obscurity two years ago and introducing her to Celine Dion. The hype finally paid off this spring, when Charice debuted in the Billboard 200 top 10 with her first U.S. album. But it's Fox's high school musical hit, on which she now plays a foreign exchange student with killer pipes to match Rachel Berry's, where Charice will show millions of Gleeks that she can out-sing the best of them."

Charice undero Botox: Who's to blame?

18-year-old singer Charice is prepping for her upcoming role on "Glee" by doing more than brushing up on her acting skills.

At a recent press conference in her native country of the Philippines, the singer revealed she recently got Botox and a skin-tightening Thermage procedure "to look fresh on camera," according to the Associated Press.

Charice was treated by local cosmetic dermatologist Vicki Belo, who is the medical director of several skin clinics in the country. Belo said that she aimed to alter the shape of the singer's "naturally round face."

"Charice's face, I've been noticing, it's been getting wider," Belo was quoted as saying. She blamed the widening on the singer's gum-chewing habit. "Our chewing muscles, if you chew a lot of gums, it gets bigger."
